We are approaching a critical stage in the campaign to Stop Brexit, as Theresa May finally faces Parliament this coming week with the deal nobody wants. All the signs are that she will lose the vote in Parliament, but then everything is to play for. We need to make sure that No Deal is ruled out and the decision is put back to a People's Vote.

You can help by adding your signature to this Open Letter to Steve Brine to appear in the Hampshire Chronicle. Over 525 people have already. Will you add your voice today? (The letter is co-ordinated by Winchester LibDems, but represents groups across Hampshire and is a cross-party effort).

The next two weeks are critical for the future of our country and we need to make the maximum effort to ensure that our voice is heard.  The People’s Vote campaign is having a day of action on Saturday 12th January and locally we are intending to run two street stalls and leaflet some areas.

In preparation we are holding an opening meeting on Monday 7th January at 18.30 in the Slug and Lettuce, The Square Winchester to plan our day of action.  Please come along and help us to put a stop to this destructive Brexit!

Best wishes

Ian Berridge.

It is clear that writing to and emailing our MPs is having a major effect - even those who seem immovable are acknowledging their bulging inboxes from people who want this madness to stop, and all bets will be off when the deal inevitably falls.  It is not too late to add your voice, to encourage them to oppose the deal and support a People's Vote as the best way out of the mess we are in.

You can find your MP's contact details easily online here, or if you would like to use a suggested text for your message, Best for Britain offer one here.
